POSITION SUMMARY
Aftermarket has an exciting and challenging career opportunity in its Ohio facility. We are seeking an energetic, goal oriented individual to lead critical engineering efforts and initiatives. He or she should have a proactive management approach, the willingness to lead by example, a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to champion and lead change initiatives for the betterment of the division and organization. Additionally, the Engineering Manager should have the ability to lead new repair development activities through production handoff as a key skill set. The successful candidate will be part of a talented and professional management team, supporting its efforts to increase the Divisions growth and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for identifying, developing, maintaining and supervising all engineering activities. Must be able to lead a skilled and knowledgeable staff in
manufacturing technology for the purpose of minimizing product cost and maximizing product-manufacturing efficiency, through the use of existing and new
techniques. This includes the Project Management of new repair introductions.
- Develop and maintain engineering budgets in accordance with divisional financial objectives. Plan and implement cost, quality and productivity improvements via
key engineering initiatives. Assists manufacturing operations in solving technical, tooling, quality and process problems using Kaizen and other appropriate problem
solving techniques.
- Keep current on technologies that will allow the organization to maintain its world class repair capabilities.
- Assure all activities are carried out in compliance with all technical, FAA and OEM specifications.
- Empowers team with a managerial style that is collaborative, inclusive and balanced in approach to achieve commitments. Recognizes and rewards employees for
their efforts to drive results.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years of experience in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years as it relates to Overhaul and Repair industry. Three years experience supervising Engineering
staff required. DER certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coach and mentor subordinates and build effective teams. Lead by example.
- Impeccable integrity; Superior interpersonal and customer service skills; able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills are necessary and experience with lean manufacturing principles is required.
- Ability to conduct technical discussions with Airline Propulsion, Engine Overhaul and OEMs. Must have experience with CAD, Spreadsheets and Data Processing
Software.
- Ability to research information in Prime Engine Manufacturers and Airline shop manuals.
- Strong customer-focused, quantitative, analytical, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership effectiveness (EI). Must be an effective change leader who challenges the status quo and acts with a sense of urgency to drive results.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree required in Engineering, preferably in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
